1. Connect

Apps that can sign in (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Grok): add https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp as a remote MCP server or custom connector. When the browser opens AutoFire, sign in with your AutoFire account, choose the dealership and permissions, and select Allow. Clients that only take a token:
  1. Sign in to the AutoFire dashboard.
  2. Open MCP & API in the sidebar.
  3. Name the key for one specific client, such as Nightly inventory export.
  4. Choose 30, 60, or 90 days and only the permissions the client needs.
  5. Create the key and copy it immediately. AutoFire cannot display it again.
  6. Send it as Authorization: Bearer af_mcp_live_….
Treat a value beginning with af_mcp_live_ like a password. Never paste it into a prompt, ticket, source file, or committed configuration.

2. Verify access

Ask the app:
It should request approval, call search_inventory, and return only vehicles from the dealership you chose.

3. Disconnect when finished

Return to Dashboard → MCP & API. Disconnect the app under Connected AI apps, or revoke the key. Either applies to future AutoFire requests immediately. It does not delete data that a third-party client already received.
