# Connect AutoFire MCP to Claude

> Add AutoFire as a connector in Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile, and sign in with your AutoFire account.

Claude on the web, Claude Desktop, Claude mobile, and Cowork all share one connector setup. Claude Code is covered separately in [Claude Code](/mcp/claude-code).

## Add the connector

1. In Claude, open **Settings → Connectors** (an organization Owner does this for Team and Enterprise plans).
2. Select **Add custom connector** and enter `https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp`.
3. Leave the OAuth client fields empty. Claude registers itself with AutoFire automatically.
4. Select **Connect**. When AutoFire opens in your browser, sign in, choose the dealership and permissions, and select **Allow**.

AutoFire is being submitted to the Claude connector directory. Once listed, you can enable it there without entering the URL.

## Test the connection

In a new chat, enable the AutoFire connector and ask:

```text theme={null}
Use AutoFire to list three available vehicles, then get details for one returned vehicle ID.
```

Claude shows which tools it will call. Read-only tools may run without a prompt once you allow them.

## Lead-data caution

`list_leads` and `list_followup_priorities` exclude names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages, and notes. `get_lead` appears only when you granted **Lead contact details** on the consent screen. Check Anthropic's current data controls before granting it.

## Disconnect

In Claude, remove the connector from **Settings → Connectors**. In AutoFire, open **Dashboard → MCP & API → Connected AI apps** and select **Disconnect**; this cuts access even if the connector is still configured in Claude.

## Troubleshooting

* **"Couldn't reach the MCP server"**: confirm the URL ends in `/mcp` and that you are on a plan that allows custom connectors.
* **Consent page shows no Allow button**: only dealership owners and accepted admins can connect apps.
* **Tool is missing**: the permission was not granted. Disconnect in AutoFire and connect again with the permission selected.
