# CARFAX Integration Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/dealer-guide/carfax Show CARFAX history links on vehicle detail pages (Pro) # CARFAX Integration Buyers expect history context for used inventory. On **AutoFire Pro**, you can add your CARFAX dealer partner ID so eligible vehicle detail pages show the **Show Me the CARFAX** entry point—shoppers continue to CARFAX.com under their terms. AutoFire does not host CARFAX reports. The integration renders a partner-compliant link-out when your plan, dealer ID, and vehicle VIN all qualify. ## In this guide * Prerequisites (Pro plan + CARFAX dealer ID) * Enable CARFAX in dealer settings * What shoppers see on vehicle pages * Troubleshooting ## Prerequisites Active Pro subscription or trial with CARFAX capability Partner ID from your CARFAX dealer account Each listing needs a valid VIN for the button to appear ## Enable CARFAX From your dashboard sidebar, go to **Dealer Info**. Paste the partner ID CARFAX issued for your dealership. Turn on CARFAX display when you are ready for buttons to appear on eligible vehicle detail pages. Click **Save Changes**. New and updated listings with valid VINs will show the CARFAX call-to-action where rules pass. ## What shoppers see On qualifying vehicle detail pages, shoppers see a CARFAX button near photos and pricing. Clicking opens CARFAX's report flow on CARFAX.com—branding, policies, and report availability are governed by CARFAX. Keep VINs accurate when you [add or import inventory](/dealer-guide/inventory). A missing or invalid VIN hides the button even when CARFAX is enabled. ## Troubleshooting Confirm you are on Pro, CARFAX is enabled, the dealer ID is saved, and the vehicle has a valid 17-character VIN. Update the ID in **Dealer Info** and save. Contact CARFAX partner support for account issues outside AutoFire. CARFAX controls report content and partner requirements. AutoFire only renders the integration point your account supports. ## Related guides Dealer profile and other Pro settings Vehicle detail pages and Pro shopper tools Pro features and cancellation behavior ## Next steps 1. Custom domain setup (Pro) Preview and discoverability # Distribution Feeds Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/dealer-guide/distribution Syndicate inventory to Google, Meta, Cars.com, AutoTrader, and CarGurus (Pro) # Distribution Feeds AutoFire Pro's **Distribution** experience generates private feed endpoints from your live inventory so third-party channels pull the same cars, prices, and photos as your website—without maintaining parallel spreadsheets. ## In this guide * Enable platforms and copy private feed URLs * Per-partner setup summaries (Google, Meta, marketplaces) * Refresh, link rotation, and troubleshooting Distribution feeds are included on **AutoFire Pro** (\$99.99/month). You pay each marketplace or ad platform directly for their listing or media services—AutoFire keeps your feed current. ## How it works Feeds are built from the same vehicles you manage in Dashboard → Inventory. Each platform gets a tokenized HTTPS link—treat it like a password. Feeds refresh every 30 minutes. You can also trigger a manual refresh from the dashboard. Feed rows reference your vehicle detail pages where partners expect canonical links. Anyone with your private feed link can access that feed. Share links only with the partner platform or agency you trust. ## Open Distribution From your dashboard sidebar, open **Distribution**. Toggle on the channel you want (Google, Facebook, Cars.com, AutoTrader, or CarGurus). AutoFire generates a private feed URL for that platform. Copy the HTTPS feed URL and paste it where the partner's onboarding asks for inventory data. Each marketplace or ad platform has its own account requirements. AutoFire supplies the feed—you finish onboarding with their rep or self-serve tools. Check generation timestamps and error badges in Distribution. If something fails, fix inventory data or contact support before shoppers see stale listings downstream. ## Supported platforms | Platform | Feed format | Typical use | | ----------------------- | ----------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | | Google Vehicle Listings | XML | Search inventory programs and vehicle listings workflows | | Facebook Automotive | CSV | Meta Commerce Manager catalog / automotive inventory ads | | Cars.com | CSV | Dealer inventory syndication via your Cars.com rep | | AutoTrader | CSV | Dealer inventory syndication via your AutoTrader rep | | CarGurus | CSV | Dealer inventory syndication via your CarGurus account manager | Google exports XML; all other platforms export CSV. Formats are set automatically when you enable each integration. ## Platform setup guides Expand each platform in Distribution to see in-app setup notes. Summary below: ### Google Vehicle Listings Google Vehicle Listings uses the Vehicle Listings Partner Portal (not standard Merchant Center catalog feeds). Dealers typically submit full-inventory files through the portal or SFTP. Use this feed data with your Google onboarding workflow and keep your VDP structured data aligned. This is a starter feed—final mapping should match Google diagnostics and spec requirements for the program you are assigned. ### Facebook Automotive Go to **Meta Commerce Manager → Catalogs → Data Sources → Add Data Feed**. Use a scheduled feed and paste the private feed link from Distribution. Meta supports hourly or slower scheduled pulls. Confirm your dealership profile includes city, state, postal code, country, latitude, and longitude before validating the catalog in Meta. ### Cars.com Cars.com onboarding is usually configured by your Cars.com rep. Share the private feed link and ask for the exact required template and field mapping for your account. ### AutoTrader AutoTrader feed onboarding is account-specific. Share the private feed link with your AutoTrader rep and confirm their exact field template before going live. ### CarGurus CarGurus feed setup is typically handled with your account manager. Share the private feed link and request the current required import template for your dealer account. Toggle **CarGurus** on and copy the private CSV feed URL. Provide the HTTPS URL to your onboarding contact or feed intake process—not in public channels. Your rep may require account-specific columns beyond the starter export. Confirm the file passes their validation before going live. When you add, sell, or reprice a vehicle in AutoFire, the feed reflects it on the next refresh cycle. ## Refresh and link management Triggers an immediate feed regeneration instead of waiting for the next scheduled refresh. Use after bulk imports or large pricing changes. Creates a new token and **immediately invalidates** the old URL. You must update the saved URL at every partner that was pulling the previous link. Turning off an integration stops partners from downloading your feed until you re-enable it. ## Technical reference Feed URLs follow this pattern: ``` GET https://www.goautofire.com/api/feeds/{platform}/{token} ``` Valid platforms: `google`, `facebook`, `carscom`, `autotrader`, `cargurus`. * AutoFire validates the token and serves the current feed directly: Google uses XML and the other platforms use CSV. * Feed files remain private in storage and are available only through the tokenized AutoFire URL. * Invalid, disabled, or not-yet-generated feeds return appropriate HTTP error codes. AutoFire does not run Google Ads, Meta ads, or marketplace billing for you. Feeds supply data; media spend and marketplace contracts remain between you and each platform. ## Troubleshooting Enable the platform and wait for the first generation cycle, or click **Refresh Inventory Now**. Ensure you have eligible inventory published. Open Distribution for error details. Common causes include missing required vehicle fields or storage failures during generation. Check whether the private link was reset. After a reset, update the URL in every partner system that stored the old link. Update inventory in AutoFire first—feeds pull from your authoritative dashboard data. Trigger a manual refresh if the partner does not pull on schedule. ## Next steps [Leads & test drives](/dealer-guide/leads-and-test-drives) — forms on vehicle pages complement marketplace traffic. [Team management](/dealer-guide/team-management) — shared access to inventory and leads. Keep listings accurate before syndicating On-page SEO complements outbound feeds Work inbound interest from your site (Pro) Syndication in the Growth category # Custom Domains Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/dealer-guide/domains Connect your own domain (e.g., yourdealership.com) to your AutoFire site # Custom Domains Connect your own domain so customers visit `yourdealership.com` instead of only a subdomain. Custom domains require **AutoFire Pro**. Free Kickstart sites use `yourdealership.goautofire.com`. ## In this guide * Add and verify your domain in the dashboard * DNS records at your registrar * SSL, email coexistence, and troubleshooting ## Step 1: Add your domain in Dashboard 1. Go to Dashboard → Website → Domain tab 2. Enter your domain (e.g., `yourdealership.com`) and click Add Domain 3. You’ll see DNS verification records appear in the panel We show the exact DNS records you need to add (type, name, value). Copy them directly from the dashboard. ## Step 2: Add DNS records at your registrar/DNS host * Sign in to wherever your DNS is managed (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Google Domains) * Add the verification records exactly as shown * Save and wait for DNS to propagate (may take up to 24–48 hours) Subdomains (e.g., `www.yourdealership.com`) typically use a CNAME to `cname.vercel-dns.com`. Apex/root domains often use an ALIAS/ANAME to `cname.vercel-dns.com` or an A record to Vercel’s IP. Always prefer the records shown in the dashboard. ## Step 3: Check Verification Back in the Dashboard, click “Check Verification.” We also auto-check periodically for a short time after adding the domain. * If verified, your domain becomes active and will serve your site * If still pending, re-check later; DNS can take time ## SSL Certificates SSL (HTTPS) is issued automatically by Vercel after verification. No extra setup is needed. ## Keep your email unchanged Pointing your web traffic to AutoFire does not require changing your email records. * Do not delete or change your existing MX records (they control email delivery) * Keep SPF/DKIM/DMARC TXT records as-is * Only add/update the A/ALIAS/ANAME or CNAME records we show for the web host (apex or www) * If your DNS shows a single catch-all A record, add the web record we provide alongside it (do not remove MX) Recommended patterns (A record path): 1. Apex A record(s): Set A @ → the exact IP(s) Vercel shows in the dashboard for your domain. 2. www CNAME: Set CNAME `www` → `cname.vercel-dns.com`. 3. Optional: Redirect apex → `www` using your DNS provider’s URL redirect feature. 4. If your DNS supports ALIAS/ANAME for the apex, you can use ALIAS/ANAME → `cname.vercel-dns.com` instead of A. ## Troubleshooting * Make sure there are no conflicting DNS records for the same host * Ensure you’re editing the correct DNS zone for your domain * Give DNS some time to propagate (24–48 hours) * Re-check verification from the Dashboard If you need help, email [info@intuicodigital.com](mailto:info@intuicodigital.com) or use in-app chat from your dashboard. ## Next steps Point your GMB website URL to the new custom domain once verified. It works best when: * You want shoppers to compare models you actually stock or specialize in * You are building organic discovery beyond raw inventory grids * Your team can review AI-assisted copy before it goes live AI-assisted content should be reviewed like any customer-facing copy. Accuracy and sales expertise remain your responsibility. ## Generate a comparison From your dashboard sidebar, go to **FireCompare**. You need an active Pro subscription (or trial). Select two vehicles from your inventory—or compatible vehicle records—to compare. Run generation within your monthly allowance. The dashboard shows remaining credits for the current period. Open the comparison record and read the generated sections (overview, performance, safety, interior, exterior, technology). Published comparisons appear on your dealer site's **research** area. Delete comparisons you no longer want indexed. ## Public site experience Shoppers browse comparisons from your dealership's research hub (`/research` on your subdomain or custom domain). Each comparison gets its own detail URL with structured sections shoppers expect when weighing two vehicles. FireCompare complements—not replaces—your vehicle detail pages. Keep inventory accurate in **Dashboard → Inventory** so comparisons stay aligned with what you sell. ## Monthly limits | Topic | Behavior | | -------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- | | Pro allowance | Up to 10 FireCompare generations per month | | Credit display | Remaining generations shown in the FireCompare dashboard | | After limit | Wait for the next billing period or adjust your generation plan | Imports and inventory updates do not consume FireCompare credits. [Syndicate inventory](/dealer-guide/distribution) to third-party channels (Pro) 2. [Capture leads and test drives](/dealer-guide/leads-and-test-drives) from vehicle detail pages (Pro) # Inventory Imports Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/dealer-guide/imports Sync your Frazer DMS (or any CSV) inventory into AutoFire automatically # Inventory Imports Bring existing inventory into AutoFire without re-typing every VIN. Imports read CSV from your DMS (Frazer is supported out of the box; any CSV export works) and keep AutoFire aligned with your lot. ## In this guide * 1-click website migration from a compatible dealer site * CSV column mapping and dry-run preview * VIN reconciliation (insert, update, mark sold) * HTTPS automation with upload tokens Imports dedupe by VIN, update existing vehicles in place, and automatically mark any vehicle that is no longer in the file as **Sold**. You will not end up with duplicate listings. ## What you can do A HubSpot-style mapper auto-detects columns like VIN, Year, Make, Model, Price, and Photos. You confirm the mapping once and we remember it. Drag a CSV in the dashboard, or post the same file to a private upload URL on a schedule from your DMS or a small bridge service. Photo URLs in your CSV are downloaded and re-hosted in your dealership storage so listings keep working even if your DMS images move. Every import is logged with inserts, updates, sold marks, and per-row errors so you always know what changed. ## 1-click website migration Paste your existing dealer website URL to crawl inventory, mirror vehicle photos, and pull basic branding (name, phone, address, logo, hours). **DealerWebsites.com** sites are supported; other platforms may work when AutoFire detects a compatible inventory API. From the dashboard sidebar, choose **Imports**. In the **1-click website migration** section, enter your current dealer website URL (e.g. `https://youroldsite.com`). Click **Preview migration** to see vehicle count, sample listings, and detected branding. Check **Apply branding** if you want AutoFire to import logo, contact, and address fields from the source site. Confirm the preview and start the migration. Progress appears in the UI; large lots may take a few minutes. Migration imports vehicles using the same VIN-based reconciliation rules as CSV imports—existing VINs update in place; missing VINs can be marked sold. ## CSV import quick start From the dashboard sidebar, choose **Imports**. Click **Issue upload token** in the *Frazer connection* card. We will show the token once — copy it and store it somewhere safe like a password manager. You can rotate it any time. Treat the upload token like a password. Anyone who has it can post inventory updates to your dealership. Click **Choose CSV…** and pick a recent export from Frazer (or whatever DMS you use). We will read the column headers and a few sample rows. Each CSV column is matched to an AutoFire field with a confidence label: * **Matched** — we are confident this is the right field. * **Suggested** — likely match. Double-check it. * **Unmapped** — we could not find a match. Pick a field or leave it as *— ignore column —*. You must map a column to **VIN**, **Year**, **Make**, **Model**, and **Price** before you can import. Click **Save mapping**. From now on, files with the same headers will import automatically using these settings. Click **Dry run preview**. AutoFire will read the file and show you exactly how many vehicles would be inserted, updated, marked sold, or skipped — without changing your inventory. When the preview looks right, click **Import now**. We update your inventory, archive the CSV, and add the run to your history. ## Required Columns These five columns must be mapped before AutoFire will accept an import: 17-character vehicle identification number. Used to dedupe and match. Model year (1900–next year + 1). e.g. Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet. e.g. F-150, Camry, Silverado. Asking price. Currency symbols and commas are handled automatically. Optional columns we will recognize and use when available include Stock Number, Trim, Mileage, Exterior / Interior Color, Body Style, Transmission, Drivetrain, Fuel Type, Engine, Doors, Description, Features, Status, and one or more Photo URL columns (`Photo1`, `Photo2`, … or `ImageURL_1`, etc. are auto-detected). ## How Reconciliation Works Every row is matched to your existing inventory by VIN. Rows without a valid 17-character VIN are skipped and recorded in the run errors. * VINs you have not seen before are **inserted** as new vehicles. * VINs already in your inventory are **updated** in place — their photos, pricing, mileage, and details are refreshed from the file. Any AutoFire vehicle whose VIN is **not** in the latest CSV is moved to **Sold** status. We never delete inventory automatically — sold vehicles stay in your dashboard for record-keeping and FireCompare history. If a VIN appears more than once in a single CSV, we keep the last non-empty values for each field and log a duplicate-row warning so you can clean up the source export. By default, photo URLs in your CSV are **mirrored** — downloaded and re-hosted under your dealership in AutoFire. That way, if your DMS image URLs change or expire, your AutoFire listings keep working. You can switch to *hotlink* mode in the future if you prefer to serve photos directly from the source. AutoFire-only fields — like a vehicle being marked **Featured** on your homepage, or a generated FireCompare comparison — are preserved across imports. The importer only updates the columns it owns. ## Automating Imports AutoFire is hosted on a global serverless platform and cannot accept FTP or SFTP directly. Automation works over secure HTTPS instead, using the upload token from the connection card. Once you have an upload token, you (or a small helper service) can post the same CSV to your dealership's private endpoint: ```bash theme={null} curl -X POST "https://goautofire.com/api/imports/frazer/upload" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer afi_yourtokenhere" \ -H "Content-Type: text/csv" \ --data-binary "@frazer-export.csv" ``` The response includes the run ID, status, and counts: ```json theme={null} { "run_id": "0b1ad4c8-…", "status": "completed", "counters": { "rowCount": 42, "insertedCount": 3, "updatedCount": 38, "soldCount": 1, "errorCount": 0, "duplicateVinCount": 0 } } ``` If your DMS only supports FTP/SFTP push, run a small bridge service (e.g. on a cheap VM, Raspberry Pi, or anywhere you can run a script) that watches the destination folder and re-posts new CSVs to the URL above. AutoFire handles everything else. ## Reviewing Past Imports The **Recent runs** section on the Imports page shows the last 25 imports for your dealership. Each row tells you: * When the import ran and what file it came from. * Whether it was a manual upload, a dashboard run, or an automated upload. * Counts for inserts, updates, sold, skipped, and errors. * Whether the run was a dry-run preview or a real import. Per-row errors (bad VIN, missing required field, photo download failure, etc.) are stored alongside the run and surfaced when needed. ## Troubleshooting AutoFire could not find a match for one of the required fields. Open the mapping dropdown next to a column that contains that data and pick the correct AutoFire field, then click **Save mapping**. The token may have been rotated or the import provider may have been disabled. Open the dashboard, rotate the token, and update wherever you use it. Old tokens stop working immediately when rotated. VINs must be 17 characters and use only letters/digits (no I, O, or Q). Clean the bad rows in your DMS export — they will be skipped, not the whole import. Each photo must be a public URL returning a JPEG, PNG, or WebP under 5 MB. Photo errors are recorded as row errors but do not stop the rest of the vehicle from being imported. That VIN was missing from the most recent CSV. Add the vehicle back to your DMS export and run an import — AutoFire will set it back to Available and keep its existing data. ## Next steps [Inventory management](/dealer-guide/inventory) — review status, photos, and descriptions after import. This will take you to the inventory management page where you can view all your current vehicle listings. Already have your inventory in Frazer or another DMS? You can sync it into AutoFire automatically with the [Inventory Imports](/dealer-guide/imports) flow instead of adding vehicles one by one. ## Adding a New Vehicle Click the "Add Vehicle" button in the top right corner of the inventory page. Complete the vehicle information form with the following details: * **Make, Model, and Trim** - The vehicle's manufacturer, model name, and trim level * **Year** - The vehicle's model year * **Price** - The listing price in USD * **Mileage** - The vehicle's current odometer reading * **VIN** - The Vehicle Identification Number (if available). On Pro, use **VIN decode** in the add flow to auto-fill year, make, model, and trim. * **Exterior and Interior Colors** - Select from the available color options All this information is used to create structured data (schema markup) that helps your vehicles appear in Google search results. Write a detailed description of the vehicle. Include key features, condition information, and any selling points that would interest potential buyers. A thorough, well-written description can significantly improve buyer interest and search engine visibility. Include details about the vehicle's condition, features, history, and any recent maintenance or upgrades. Upload multiple high-quality photos of the vehicle. You can drag and drop images or use the file browser. The first photo you upload will be used as the thumbnail image in listings, so make sure it's a clear, attractive shot of the vehicle. Choose the appropriate status for the vehicle: * **Available** - Ready for sale and visible on your site * **Pending** - In the process of being sold but not yet finalized * **Sold** - Transaction completed (these won't display on your site) Click "Save Vehicle" to publish your listing. It will immediately appear on your dealership website. ## Managing Existing Listings From the inventory management page, you can: * **Search** for specific vehicles using the search bar * **Filter** vehicles by status (Available, Pending, Sold) * **Edit** existing listings by clicking on them * **Change status** of vehicles as they move through your sales process * **Delete** listings you no longer want to keep ## Vehicle Status Flow The typical flow for a vehicle through your inventory system: 1. **Add** a new vehicle with "Available" status 2. When a customer commits to purchase, update to "Pending" 3. Once the sale is complete, change to "Sold" Vehicles marked as "Sold" remain in your inventory management system for record-keeping but are not displayed on your public-facing website. They still count toward your 10-vehicle limit. ## SEO Benefits Each vehicle listing you create is optimized for search engines: * **Structured data markup**: Helps Google understand and index your vehicles * **Unique URLs**: Each vehicle gets its own dedicated URL (yourdealer.goautofire.com/inventory/) * **Mobile optimization**: All vehicle pages are fully responsive for mobile users * **Fast loading**: Optimized images and code ensure quick page loading * **Google compatibility**: When your GMB is linked to your AutoFire site, your inventory can appear in relevant searches ### Google Vehicle Listings Integration AutoFire works with [Google Vehicle Listings](https://developers.google.com/vehicle-listings) to help your inventory appear directly in Google search results: ![Google Vehicle Listings](https://developers.google.com/static/vehicle-listings/images/SRP-Carsheet.gif) Example of how vehicles can appear in Google search results * AutoFire automatically implements the required [structured data markup](https://developers.google.com/vehicle-listings/onboarding-guide#structured_data_markup) on all vehicle detail pages * No additional technical setup is needed on your part for the structured data implementation * For maximum benefit, ensure your dealership is properly set up on Google My Business * Follow the [Google Vehicle Listings onboarding guide](https://developers.google.com/vehicle-listings/onboarding-guide) for complete setup instructions On **AutoFire Pro**, enable outbound inventory feeds from [Distribution](/dealer-guide/distribution)—Google (XML), Meta/Facebook, Cars.com, AutoTrader, and CarGurus (CSV)—so third-party channels stay aligned with the same stock you show on your site. ## Best Practices For the best presentation of your vehicles: * Use high-resolution, well-lit images * Include exterior shots from multiple angles * Add interior views showing seating, dashboard, and cargo areas * Highlight any special features or custom additions * Aim for utilizing all 6 possible photo spots per vehicle * Ensure the first photo is the most appealing (it will be used as the thumbnail) Consider these factors when setting vehicle prices: * Comparable vehicles in your market * Vehicle condition, mileage, and history * Special features or upgrades * Your desired profit margin * Room for negotiation (if applicable) Create compelling descriptions by: * Leading with the vehicle's strongest selling points * Including key specifications and features * Mentioning recent maintenance or improvements * Being honest about condition * Using bullet points for easy scanning * Avoiding all caps and excessive punctuation * Including relevant keywords that buyers might search for With Free Kickstart (10 vehicles) consider these strategies: * Focus on your most profitable or distinctive vehicles * Ensure a variety of price points to attract different buyers * Regularly update your inventory as vehicles sell * Remove sold vehicles promptly to make room for new listings * Feature vehicles that represent your dealership's specialty or focus Remember that every detail you add to a vehicle listing improves its visibility in search results and helps potential customers find your dealership. ## Next steps [Inventory imports](/dealer-guide/imports) — sync from Frazer or another CSV export. Update the requested date from the request detail when plans change. Mark **Completed** after the drive, or **Cancelled** / **No-show** when appropriate. AutoFire centers on request capture and status tracking. Use your dealership's calendar process alongside the dashboard queue for staff scheduling. ## Team workflow tips Leads and test drives are high-intent moments. Assign follow-up quickly—especially on mobile where notifications arrive in email. Invite sales staff with [team roles](/dealer-guide/team-management) so everyone sees the same queues instead of scattered texts. Because requests connect to specific vehicles, your team always knows which car the shopper cared about. ## Next steps [Team management](/dealer-guide/team-management) — shared visibility on leads and test drives. Roles and invites for your sales staff Vehicle context on every lead and request Where forms appear on vehicle pages Growth features in the reference catalog # Setting Up Your Dealership Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/dealer-guide/setup Configure your dealership profile and customize your website # Setting Up Your Dealership This guide walks through dealership profile setup—the first step in the [Dealer Guide](/dealer-guide/setup) workflow after [quickstart](/quickstart). ## In this guide * Dealer Info: name, contact, and address * Website branding basics (logo, colors, hero, SEO description) * Google Business Profile alignment * Optional Pro settings (CARFAX, chatbot, Distribution) **Free Kickstart** — up to 10 listings, subdomain, SEO pages, customization, payment calculator on VDPs. **AutoFire Pro** (\$99.99/mo) — up to 50 listings, FireCompare™, leads, test drives, CARFAX, custom domain, VIN decoder, Distribution feeds, team roles, AI chatbot, priority support. ## Accessing Dealer Settings After logging in to your AutoFire account, navigate to the Dashboard and look for the "Dealer Info" section in the sidebar. This is where you'll manage your dealership's basic information. Dealer Info Portal Navigate to Dealer Info in the sidebar ## Basic Information Enter your dealership's official business name. This will be displayed prominently on your website. Use your full business name as registered to maintain brand consistency and improve search engine visibility. Enter your dealership's primary contact email and phone number. These will be displayed on your website and used for customer inquiries. Make sure your contact information is accurate and monitored regularly. Missed inquiries can mean missed sales opportunities! Enter your dealership's physical address, including city, state, and ZIP code. This information is used for the map integration on your website. The address autocomplete feature helps ensure your address is formatted correctly for mapping services. This address will be used in schema markup for local SEO. ## Website Customization Visual elements like your logo, colors, and hero image are managed in the Website Settings section. Go to "Website" in the sidebar to access customization options. Upload your dealership's logo to brand your website. Recommended size: 200x200 pixels. Use a PNG format with transparent background for the best presentation across your site. Select your primary and secondary colors to match your branding. Your primary color will be used for navigation elements, buttons, and key visual elements. Upload a hero image for your homepage banner. Choose a high-quality image of your dealership or featured inventory to create a strong first impression. Add a website description to improve search engine visibility. Include relevant keywords like your location, specialties, and brands you carry. This description will appear in search engine results. ## Google My Business Integration For maximum visibility in local searches and Google Maps, connect your AutoFire website with Google My Business. Log in to your Google My Business account or create one if you don't have it yet. Set your website URL to your AutoFire subdomain (yourdealership.goautofire.com). Complete Google's verification process if you haven't already. Ensure your business hours, phone number, and address match between GMB and your AutoFire website. When your GMB listing is properly connected to your AutoFire website, your vehicle inventory can benefit from enhanced visibility in Google searches. ## Pro settings (optional) If you are on **AutoFire Pro**, configure these from the dashboard when you are ready: In **Dealer Info**, enter your CARFAX dealer partner ID and enable CARFAX. See the [CARFAX guide](/dealer-guide/carfax) for prerequisites and troubleshooting. In **Website Settings → Chatbot**, enable the public site assistant. Each AI reply consumes 0.1 Fuel credit; rate limits apply per visitor and session. Open **Distribution** to enable feed integrations—see the [Distribution guide](/dealer-guide/distribution). ## Saving Your Changes For each section, click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the form. Your changes will be applied to your dealer website immediately. ## Next steps [Inventory management](/dealer-guide/inventory) — publish vehicles that power your public site. The free Kickstart plan does not support team members. ## Overview Team management enables you to: * **Invite team members** via email invitation * **Assign roles** (Admin or Staff) with appropriate permissions * **Manage team members** by updating roles or removing access * **Track pending invitations** and see who has accepted ## Roles & Permissions AutoFire supports three role levels: Full access to all features including billing and subscription management. Only one owner per dealership. Full access to inventory, leads, and website settings. Cannot manage billing or subscription. Full access to inventory, leads, and website settings. Cannot manage billing or subscription. Currently, Admin and Staff roles have the same permissions. Both can manage inventory, leads, and website settings, but cannot access billing or subscription management. ## Inviting Team Members Only dealership owners and admins can invite new team members. Go to your Dashboard and click on "Team" in the sidebar navigation. You'll see a form to invite a new team member. If you've reached your subscription limit, you'll see a message indicating you need to upgrade. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite. This works for both new users and existing AutoFire users. The invite system automatically handles both scenarios - if the user already has an AutoFire account, they can accept directly. If they're new, they can sign up first, then accept the invite. Choose either "Admin" or "Staff" for the team member's role. Both roles have the same permissions currently. Click "Send Invite" to create and send the invitation. The invite will expire in 7 days. You cannot invite someone who already has a pending invitation. If you need to resend an invite, you'll need to wait for the current one to expire or contact support. ## Accepting an Invitation When you receive a team invitation: You'll receive an email with an invitation link. Click the link to open the invitation page. If you're not already logged in, you'll be redirected to the login page. After logging in, you'll return to the invitation page. If you don't have an AutoFire account yet, you can sign up first, then accept the invitation. The invitation is tied to the email address it was sent to. Make sure you're logged in with the correct email address. If you're logged in with a different email address than the one the invitation was sent to, you'll see an error message. Log out and log in with the correct email address. Review the dealership name and your assigned role, then click "Accept Invitation" to join the team. After accepting, you'll be redirected to the dashboard where you can start managing the dealership's inventory, leads, and website settings. ### Invitation Requirements For an invitation to be valid: * The invitation token must be valid and not expired * The invitation must not have been accepted already * The invitation must not be older than 7 days * Your logged-in email must match the email the invitation was sent to If you see an "Invalid Invite" or "Invite Expired" message, contact the dealership owner or admin to request a new invitation. ## Managing Team Members As an owner or admin, you can manage your team members from the Team page. ### Viewing Team Members The Team page shows: * **Current team members** with their email addresses and roles * **Pending invitations** that haven't been accepted yet * **Team member count** to help you stay within your subscription limits ### Updating Team Member Roles Locate the team member in the list on the Team page. Use the role dropdown to change between Admin and Staff roles. The role change is saved automatically. You cannot change the owner's role. The owner is the person who created the dealership account. ### Removing Team Members Locate the team member you want to remove in the team members list. Click the "Remove" button next to the team member's name. Confirm that you want to remove the team member. This action cannot be undone. You cannot remove the dealership owner. If you need to transfer ownership, contact AutoFire support. ## Subscription Limits Your subscription plan determines how many team members you can have: * **Kickstart (Free)**: Team members not available * **Pro**: Check your subscription details for the current team member limit If you've reached your team member limit, you'll need to upgrade your subscription or remove existing team members before inviting new ones. ## Troubleshooting ### Invitation Not Received If someone didn't receive an invitation email: 1. Check that the email address was entered correctly 2. Ask them to check their spam/junk folder 3. Verify the invitation is still pending (not expired or already accepted) 4. Resend the invitation if needed (after the previous one expires) ### Cannot Accept Invitation If you're having trouble accepting an invitation: 1. **Email mismatch**: Make sure you're logged in with the exact email address the invitation was sent to 2. **Expired invitation**: Invitations expire after 7 days. Request a new invitation from the dealership owner or admin 3. **Already a member**: If you're already a team member, you'll be redirected to the dashboard automatically 4. **Invalid token**: The invitation link may have been corrupted. Request a new invitation ### Permission Errors If you see permission errors when trying to manage team members: * Only owners and admins can invite, update, or remove team members * Staff members can view the team list but cannot make changes * If you believe you should have admin access, contact the dealership owner ## Best Practices Assign Admin roles only to trusted team members who need full access. Use Staff roles for general team members. Periodically review your team members list to ensure only current employees have access. Only send invitations to verified email addresses. Never share invitation links publicly. Keep track of who has access to your dealership account and remove access promptly when team members leave. ## Next steps You have completed the core Dealer Guide workflow. To access your website: Your website URL follows this format: `yourdealership.goautofire.com`, where `yourdealership` is the subdomain you selected during setup. From your Dashboard, click the "View Website" button to open your dealer site in a new tab. ## Website Structure Your dealer website features a streamlined, user-friendly design: A clean, scrollable homepage that contains all key information about your dealership, including: * Dealership branding and hero image * Featured inventory section * About section with dealership details * Location map * Contact information Individual pages for each vehicle (accessible at `/inventory/{vin}`) that include: * Vehicle photos in a gallery format * Complete specifications * Pricing and mileage information * Color indicators for exterior/interior * Contact information for inquiries This simplified structure makes your website easier for customers to navigate and for you to maintain. ## Google My Business Integration For maximum visibility, connect your AutoFire website with your Google My Business listing: In your Google My Business dashboard, set your website URL to your AutoFire subdomain (yourdealership.goautofire.com). Ensure your business name, address, phone number, and business hours match between your GMB listing and your AutoFire website. If you haven't already, complete Google's business verification process to ensure your business appears in Maps and local search results. When properly configured, this integration helps your dealership appear in local searches and can help your inventory appear in vehicle-related searches. ## Google Vehicle Listings Your AutoFire website is designed to work with [Google Vehicle Listings](https://developers.google.com/vehicle-listings), which allows your inventory to appear directly in Google search results. Follow the [Google Vehicle Listings onboarding guide](https://developers.google.com/vehicle-listings/onboarding-guide) to ensure your dealership is properly set up. AutoFire automatically implements the required [structured data markup](https://developers.google.com/vehicle-listings/onboarding-guide#structured_data_markup) on all your vehicle detail pages, so there's no additional configuration needed on your part. AutoFire supports Google Vehicle Listings through **structured data markup on every vehicle page** (all plans). On **AutoFire Pro**, you can also enable a **Google XML feed** from [Distribution](/dealer-guide/distribution) and connect it to Google's Vehicle Listings onboarding workflow—so on-page SEO and outbound feeds work together. ## Sharing Your Website Share your website URL on your social media platforms to reach potential customers. Post direct links to specific vehicles using the individual vehicle URLs (yourdealership.goautofire.com/inventory/) to drive targeted traffic. Include your website URL on all printed materials and physical signage. Add your website URL to your email signature for easy access by email contacts. Consider adding your site to Google Search Console to monitor performance and indexing status. This free tool from Google helps you understand how your website appears in search results and can identify any technical issues. ## Mobile Experience Your dealer website is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices. It will automatically adjust to provide an excellent experience on smartphones and tablets. Mobile View Your website is optimized for all screen sizes ## SEO and Discoverability Your dealer website is built with search engine optimization in mind: * **Schema.org markup**: Vehicle listings include structured data that helps them appear in Google search results * **Local business schema**: Your dealership information is marked up for better local search visibility * **Mobile-friendly design**: Important for Google rankings as more users search on mobile devices * **Fast loading speeds**: Optimized code and images improve search ranking and user experience * **Clean URLs**: Simple, readable URL structure makes pages more discoverable * **Custom meta descriptions**: Help search engines understand your dealership's focus ## Making Updates Any changes you make to your dealership information, inventory, or website settings are automatically reflected on your live website. There's no need to manually publish or update your site. While most changes appear immediately, some updates may take a few minutes to propagate across all systems. ## Inventory limits **Free Kickstart** limits each dealership to up to 10 vehicle listings. **AutoFire Pro** raises the cap to up to 50. Sold vehicles still count toward your plan limit—remove or archive sold units to make room for new stock. ## Pro-only shopper tools On an active Pro subscription, vehicle detail pages also include: * Lead and test drive request forms * CARFAX button (when your dealer ID is configured in Dealer Info) * AI site chatbot (when enabled in Website Settings → Chatbot) All plans include an **estimated monthly payment calculator** on vehicle detail pages so shoppers can adjust down payment, APR, and term. ## Next steps [Customize your website](/dealer-guide/customization) — logo, colors, hero, and SEO description. Start with the [quickstart guide](/quickstart). # Authentication and key lifecycle Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/authentication Manage dealership-scoped AutoFire MCP bearer keys safely. ## Who can manage keys Only the dealership owner or an accepted team administrator can list, create, or revoke MCP keys. Regular team members cannot manage credentials. ## Expiration choices Every key expires after exactly 30, 60, or 90 days. AutoFire allows at most five active keys per dealership. Use a separate, clearly named key for every client or automation so you can revoke one connection without disrupting another. ## One-time display The complete key is shown once. AutoFire stores a keyed one-way digest plus a short prefix for identification—not the reusable secret. If you lose a key, revoke it and create a replacement. ## Bearer authentication Clients must send: ```http theme={null} Authorization: Bearer $AUTOFIRE_MCP_TOKEN ``` Do not put the literal key in shell history or client configuration when the client supports an environment variable or secret store. ## Rotation 1. Create a replacement key with the same or narrower permissions. 2. Update the client secret. 3. Verify one tool call. 4. Revoke the old key. ## OAuth status OAuth is not currently enabled for the public AutoFire MCP server. The protected-resource and authorization-server discovery endpoints remain unavailable until AutoFire completes the hosted authorization rollout. Bearer keys continue to be supported independently. # MCP changelog Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/changelog Track public changes to AutoFire MCP tools, authentication, and security behavior. ## August 2026 * Added the hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint at `https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp`. * Added dealership-scoped bearer keys with 30-, 60-, and 90-day expiration and immediate revocation. * Added owner/admin key management in the AutoFire dashboard. * Added read-only dealership, inventory, lead workflow, lead contact, test-drive, and insight tools. * Added masked lead lists, separate lead-PII permission, tenant-enforced database functions, layered rate limits, and PII-free tool auditing. * Added Codex, Claude Code, generic client, security, and troubleshooting documentation. * OAuth discovery remains disabled pending the hosted authorization rollout. # Connect AutoFire MCP to Claude Code Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/claude-code Add the hosted AutoFire MCP server to Claude Code with a bearer-token environment variable. ## Set the key Place the key in the environment that launches Claude Code: ```bash theme={null} export AUTOFIRE_MCP_TOKEN="af_mcp_live_REDACTED" ``` Use your operating system's secure environment or secret manager for persistent storage; do not commit the key. ## Add the remote server ```bash theme={null} claude mcp add --transport http autofire https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer \${AUTOFIRE_MCP_TOKEN}" ``` If your installed Claude Code version offers a native environment-variable field for headers, use it instead of placing a key directly in configuration. CLI syntax can change between releases, so confirm with `claude mcp add --help`. ## Verify Ask Claude Code: ```text theme={null} Use AutoFire to list three available vehicles, then get details for one returned vehicle ID. ``` Review and approve the calls. The client should see only the tools permitted by the key. ## Lead-data caution `list_leads` excludes names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages, and notes. `get_lead` appears only when the key has the explicit **Lead contact details** permission. Check Anthropic's current data controls before enabling that permission. # Connect AutoFire MCP to Codex Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/codex Configure AutoFire as a remote MCP server in Codex without storing the key in config.toml. ## Store the key in your environment Set `AUTOFIRE_MCP_TOKEN` in the secure environment used to launch Codex. Avoid adding it to a repository or checking it into a dotfile you share. ## Add the server In `~/.codex/config.toml`: ```toml theme={null} [mcp_servers.autofire] url = "https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp" bearer_token_env_var = "AUTOFIRE_MCP_TOKEN" enabled_tools = ["get_dealership_profile", "search_inventory", "get_vehicle"] default_tools_approval_mode = "prompt" startup_timeout_sec = 15 tool_timeout_sec = 30 ``` Start with the smallest `enabled_tools` set you need. Add lead tools only after creating a key with the matching permission. ## Test the connection Restart Codex, then ask: ```text theme={null} Use the AutoFire MCP server to show five available vehicles. Do not call any lead tools. ``` Approve the tool call and confirm the results belong to the expected dealership. ## Recommended approval posture Keep tool approval set to prompt while onboarding or working with lead data. AutoFire tools are server-side read-only, but the client can still copy returned data into its conversation or provider logs. ## Troubleshooting * `401`: the environment variable is missing, malformed, expired, or revoked. * Tool missing: the key does not have the matching permission, or `enabled_tools` excludes it. * Connection failure: confirm the URL includes `/mcp` and restart Codex after changing its environment. # Generic and cloud MCP clients Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/generic-clients Connect any compatible Streamable HTTP client to the AutoFire MCP endpoint. ## Connection values | Setting | Value | | -------------- | -------------------------------- | | Transport | Streamable HTTP | | URL | `https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp` | | Authentication | HTTP bearer token | | Header | `Authorization: Bearer ` | AutoFire also accepts the legacy stateless HTTP flow for compatibility. New integrations should use Streamable HTTP. ## Client checklist 1. Confirm the client supports a remote HTTP MCP server and custom bearer authentication. 2. Store the key in the client's encrypted secret store, not a prompt or shared config file. 3. Disable tools the workflow does not require. 4. Keep interactive approval enabled during validation. 5. Test with inventory before considering lead permissions. 6. Review where the client stores prompts, tool arguments, and tool results. ## Hosted cloud clients A hosted client may transmit dealership data outside AutoFire's infrastructure. Confirm the provider's subprocessor list, region, retention period, model-training controls, incident response, and deletion process before connecting it. ## OAuth-only clients AutoFire's public OAuth flow is not enabled yet. A client that requires OAuth discovery and cannot accept a bearer token cannot connect at this time. Do not work around this by exposing a key in a public URL or browser script. ## Desktop extensions The former DXT packaging format is now commonly called an MCP Bundle (MCPB). AutoFire is a hosted server and does not require a local MCPB installation; configure the remote URL and bearer key instead. # Automotive MCP overview Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/overview Connect an AI client to dealership inventory, leads, test drives, and insights with dealership-scoped access. AutoFire MCP is a hosted, read-only [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io/) server for dealership data. It works with remote-MCP clients such as Codex and Claude Code. **Server URL:** `https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp` ## What it exposes * Dealership profile and operating hours * Inventory search and individual vehicle details * Lead workflow records with contact details masked by default * Optional, separately authorized access to one lead's contact details * Test-drive workflow without customer contact details * Recent aggregate dealership insights ## Security model Each credential is permanently tied to one dealership. Tools do not accept a dealership ID, arbitrary SQL, table names, or outbound URLs. Owners and administrators choose the credential's permissions and a 30-, 60-, or 90-day expiration. MCP clients can send returned data to their AI or cloud provider. Review that provider's privacy, retention, and model-training settings before connecting lead data. ## Current authentication AutoFire currently supports dashboard-issued bearer keys. OAuth discovery is intentionally unavailable until the hosted authorization flow is enabled. Do not turn on an OAuth setting in a client for this endpoint yet. ## Next steps * [Create your first key](/mcp/quickstart) * [Connect Codex](/mcp/codex) * [Connect Claude Code](/mcp/claude-code) * [Review security controls](/mcp/security) # MCP quickstart Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/quickstart Create an expiring AutoFire MCP key and verify your first dealership inventory request. ## 1. Create a key 1. Sign in to the AutoFire dashboard as a dealership owner or administrator. 2. Open **MCP & API** in the sidebar. 3. Name the key for one specific client, such as `Codex on office Mac`. 4. Choose 30, 60, or 90 days. 5. Select only the permissions the client needs. 6. Create the key and copy it immediately. AutoFire cannot display it again. Treat the value beginning with `af_mcp_live_` like a password. Never paste it into a prompt, ticket, source file, or committed configuration. ## 2. Configure a client Use this remote server URL: ```text theme={null} https://mcp.goautofire.com/mcp ``` Send the key as an HTTP bearer token: ```http theme={null} Authorization: Bearer af_mcp_live_REDACTED ``` Prefer your client's environment-variable or secret manager. See the dedicated [Codex](/mcp/codex), [Claude Code](/mcp/claude-code), or [generic client](/mcp/generic-clients) guide. ## 3. Verify access Ask the client: ```text theme={null} Use AutoFire to list up to five available vehicles. Include year, make, model, price, and mileage. ``` The client should request approval, call `search_inventory`, and return only vehicles from the dealership bound to your key. ## 4. Revoke when finished Return to **Dashboard → MCP & API** and revoke the key. Revocation applies to future AutoFire requests immediately. It does not delete data that a third-party client already received. # MCP security Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/security Understand AutoFire MCP isolation, permissions, rate limits, logging, and incident response. ## Tenant isolation The authenticated credential resolves to exactly one dealership. Database functions require that dealership ID internally, and every query filters on it. The client cannot choose or override tenant context. ## Least privilege Tools are registered only when their required permission is present. Full lead contact data requires the separate `leads:pii` permission in addition to `leads:read`. Create different keys for different clients. ## Credential protection * Keys contain 256 bits of generated randomness. * Only an HMAC verifier and identifying prefix are stored after creation. * Keys expire in 30, 60, or 90 days and can be revoked immediately. * A dealership can have no more than five active keys. ## Request controls AutoFire validates the host and browser origin, caps request bodies at 128 KiB, disables response caching, validates every tool argument and output, and rate-limits by source, key, dealership, and tool. Limits vary by sensitivity; full lead lookup is more restrictive than vehicle lookup. ## Audit metadata Successful and denied tool calls record limited operational metadata: key ID, dealership ID, tool, outcome, timing, result count, and a one-way hash of the source network address. API keys, tool arguments, and returned customer content are excluded from this ledger. The normal retention target is 90 days. ## If a key is exposed 1. Revoke it from **Dashboard → MCP & API**. 2. Remove it from the affected client and secret stores. 3. Create a replacement with the minimum permissions. 4. Contact AutoFire support if you need help reviewing activity. Revocation prevents future AutoFire access; it cannot erase data already sent to a connected provider. # MCP tools and permissions Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/tools Reference the read-only tools exposed by each AutoFire MCP permission. | Tool | Required permission | Output safeguards | | ------------------------- | -------------------------- | ----------------------------------------- | | `get_dealership_profile` | `dealership:read` | Authorized dealership only | | `search_inventory` | `inventory:read` | Up to 50 vehicles; no VIN | | `get_vehicle` | `inventory:read` | One authorized-dealership vehicle; no VIN | | `list_leads` | `leads:read` | No name, email, phone, message, or notes | | `get_lead` | `leads:read` + `leads:pii` | One lead with contact details | | `list_test_drives` | `test_drives:read` | No customer contact details or notes | | `get_dealership_insights` | `insights:read` | Aggregate reports only | ## Inventory pagination `search_inventory` accepts an optional text query, vehicle status, `limit` from 1–50, and `offset` from 0–5000. Its default status is `available`. ## Workflow pagination Lead and test-drive list tools accept an optional status plus a `limit` from 1–50 and `offset` from 0–5000. ## Cross-dealership behavior Tools derive the dealership from the authenticated key. They never accept a client-provided dealership ID. Requesting a vehicle or lead UUID from another dealership returns no record. ## Read-only contract The current server does not create, edit, delete, email, text, publish, or submit records. Tool annotations also declare the operations read-only and closed-world. # MCP troubleshooting Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/mcp/troubleshooting Resolve authentication, permission, connection, and rate-limit errors. ## 401 Unauthorized * Confirm the header uses `Bearer`, followed by one space and the complete key. * Confirm the key begins with `af_mcp_live_` and was copied without quotes or whitespace. * Check **Dashboard → MCP & API** for expiration or revocation. * Restart the client after updating its environment variable. ## 403 Forbidden The credential is valid but does not authorize the requested operation. Create a new key with the required permission; existing keys cannot be expanded after creation. ## Tool is missing AutoFire advertises only tools authorized by the key. Also check client-side `enabled_tools` or tool allowlists. ## 404 on OAuth discovery Expected while public OAuth is disabled. Configure bearer authentication. OAuth-only clients are not currently supported. ## 413 Request too large The MCP request exceeded 128 KiB. Reduce prompt-injected tool arguments or batch size. AutoFire list tools already cap results at 50. ## 429 Too many requests Honor the `Retry-After` header, slow the workflow, and avoid retry loops. Use pagination and cache non-sensitive results inside your approved workflow where appropriate. ## Vehicle or lead not found The record may not exist, or it may belong to a different dealership. Cross-dealership UUIDs intentionally return no data. ## Still blocked Send the approximate timestamp, client name/version, HTTP status, and key prefix shown in the dashboard to AutoFire support. Never send the complete key or customer data. # Quickstart Guide Source: https://docs.goautofire.com/quickstart Create your account, set up your dealership, and publish inventory # Quickstart Guide Get your dealership website live in a few focused steps. Add inventory 5. Connect Google Business Profile 6. Preview your live site ## Step 1: Create an account Visit [goautofire.com](https://goautofire.com) and choose **Get Started**. You can start on Free Kickstart or begin a Pro trial from [pricing](https://www.goautofire.com/pricing). Provide your email and a secure password, then complete sign-up. Open the verification link sent to your inbox before continuing setup. ## Step 2: Set up your dealership Enter your dealership name, contact email, phone, and physical address. Address autocomplete helps format location data for maps and local SEO. Pick your public URL: `yourdealership.goautofire.com`. Subdomains are durable once created—choose a name that matches your brand. Match your business name where possible for recognition in search and on business cards. Complete required fields in **Dealer Info** and save. See the [Setup guide](/dealer-guide/setup) for CARFAX, chatbot, and other Pro options. ## Step 3: Customize your website Go to **Dashboard → Website** in the sidebar. Add a square logo (PNG with transparency works best; \~200×200 px recommended). Choose primary and secondary colors for navigation, buttons, and accents. Upload a wide banner image for your homepage (16:9 ratio recommended). Write a short dealership description for search results—include city, specialty, and brands you carry. ## Step 4: Add inventory Go to **Dashboard → Inventory**. Click **Add Vehicle** and enter make, model, year, price, mileage, colors, and VIN. Free Kickstart caps active listings at 10 vehicles. Pro raises the limit to 50. Add multiple images; the first photo becomes the listing thumbnail. Save the listing—it appears on your public site immediately with structured data for search. Already have a DMS export or an old dealer site? Use [Inventory Imports](/dealer-guide/imports) instead of entering every vehicle by hand. ## Step 5: Connect Google Business Profile In Google Business Profile, set your website to your AutoFire subdomain (`yourdealership.goautofire.com`) or custom domain once live on Pro. Ensure name, address, phone, and hours match between Google and your AutoFire dealer profile. Complete Google's verification process if you have not already. ## Step 6: Preview and launch Your site is live at your subdomain as soon as setup completes. From the dashboard, click **View Website** to open the public site in a new tab. ## Next steps Follow the [Dealer Guide](/dealer-guide/setup) workflow for deeper configuration: Dealer Info, GMB alignment, Pro settings Status workflow, photos, and SEO on VDPs Site structure, sharing, and discoverability Upgrade to Pro when you need leads, domains, or feeds Need help? Your plan renews automatically each month unless you cancel. * Upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately. Price differences are handled by Stripe at the time of change. * Trials (when available) run through the stated trial period. Cancel during the trial to avoid charges. * Manage payment methods securely from the billing portal. Failed payments trigger retries per Stripe's standard logic. ## Cancelling your subscription You can cancel anytime from the billing portal or by emailing [info@intuicodigital.com](mailto:info@intuicodigital.com). **What happens when you cancel:** | Area | Typical behavior | | ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Billing | Subscription ends per your plan terms (usually at period end or immediately as shown in the portal) | | Custom domain | Routing removed; site continues on your AutoFire subdomain where applicable | | Pro features | Lead forms, test drives, feeds, FireCompare, CARFAX, chatbot, and VIN decode may stop | | Inventory & site | Free-tier limits and features apply; your subdomain site generally remains accessible | | Data | Inventory, leads, and settings are retained unless you delete the account | You can reactivate Pro later from the billing portal. ### Custom domains after cancel Custom domains require an active Pro subscription. After cancellation, visitors are routed to your `yourdealership.goautofire.com` subdomain with Free Kickstart capabilities. ## Refunds If something went wrong or you believe a charge is in error, email [info@intuicodigital.com](mailto:info@intuicodigital.com) or use in-app chat. We review billing issues promptly. ## Deleting your account Deleting your account is **permanent** and removes dealership data. Export anything you need before proceeding. When the **dealership owner** deletes their account: 1. Active or in-trial subscriptions are cancelled 2. Public assets (e.g., images) stored for the dealership are removed 3. Dealership website data is permanently deleted—including inventory, leads, and settings 4. The user account is removed Owner deletion removes the entire dealership. This cannot be undone. Staff members who delete only their user account do **not** delete the dealership—the owner retains control. ## Data retention We do not keep dealership data after deletion except where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes (e.g., invoice records).
